Conducting risk analyses

Background

Our client needed support in carrying out risk analyses for their ‘build-up’ BCM system. Various resource categories were to be assessed for each previously defined hazard.

Solution

The resource categories and relevant hazards were defined in consultation with the client. Using reliable sources and extensive research, we were able to determine the individual frequency of occurrence of a resource failure and the corresponding extent of damage in a fictitious worst-case scenario.

During this, the risks were categorised and the corresponding need for action was determined.

We summarised the results and collected data in a detailed report that contained clear recommendations for optimising processes and resource management in emergency operations.
