Stefan Erdweg
Stefan Erdweg founded 3-core GmbH in Bonn in February 2019 and has been a managing director since then.
With over 10 years of professional experience in the field of strategic security management and crisis management, he understands how to respond to the ever-changing needs of customers. With his experience as a manager in charge of human resources, he supports his team members in developing and realizing their respective potential.
After studying Risk and Security Management in Bremen, Erdweg completed a Master’s degree in International Politics in England and later, part-time, a Master of Business Administration. In addition to his work at 3-core GmbH, he teaches the basics and techniques of security management as a lecturer at the University of Public Administration.
How did you come to found 3-core GmbH?
Before founding the company, I worked for several years in various projects in the field of business resilience. Always with the goal to reduce risks for companies or to react ad hoc to crises or emergencies and to manage them. In doing so, I noticed that companies often assess their risk exposure too positively, resulting in crises and emergencies that could only be resolved by deploying immense resources.
In this particular area, there was a lack of independent and contemporary management consulting that approaches the subject area with modern and holistic approaches in the interest of the companies.
The vision when setting up 3-core was to establish such a management consultancy. Today, I am happy to work in a modern and agile team where different disciplines from engineering, marketing, economics, design, politics and classical risk and crisis management work together to continuously develop creative solutions.
What do you appreciate about your work?
Every day is different: for our customers as well as for ourselves, there are new challenges every day that we enjoy mastering. My range of tasks is also diverse and stretches from the idea and strategic planning to the practical implementation of concepts, for example. I enjoy working in multidisciplinary teams and on cross-sector projects because I get to learn new things every day and provide impetus.
Carolin Maria Stellmacher
Carolin Maria Stellmacher joined 3-core GmbH shortly after its founding and has been instrumental in its development. Since then, she has been responsible for the planning, implementation, release and quality assurance of our projects as a project manager and the account manager for our customers.
Stellmacher acquired the foundations of her current job during her studies in Risk & Safety Management at the HfÖV in Bremen as well as during her Master’s degree in International Marketing in England. Since 2014, she has been advising DAX and MDAX companies in the area of business resilience and works as a lecturer at the HfÖV University of Applied Sciences in Bremen.
What brought you to 3-core GmbH?
After my bachelor’s degree in Risk & Security Management, I worked for a management consultancy for several years and was able to get to know various companies and their challenges in business resilience topics. During this time I noticed that these topics are sometimes very difficult to implement sustainably into the business strategy. This realization led me to pursue a Master’s degree in England with a focus on risk awareness and security as a business enabler for business development. Back in Germany, I met the founder of 3-core GmbH. At that time, 3-core GmbH was just in its infancy and I decided to take the path of further developing the start-up together with the founder – with all its new challenges.
3-core GmbH allows me to take responsibility for the projects, to find solutions for our customers through close teamwork and to successfully complete the projects with our customers.
What do you particularly like about project management?
Every project is individual. Our customers have a wide variety of industries, such as energy, chemicals, retail, banking or construction. That’s exactly what I like – every project is unique and enriched with new experiences and insights. It is always a pleasure for me to initiate projects, to create more resilience in the organization and to develop concepts tailored to the respective clients. In every project I am in close contact with the clients, because this is the only way we can work together professionally, trustfully and transparently.
