Crisis Team Training
Background
The client wanted to strengthen and increase their organisation’s crisis management skills. The optimisation potentials of the crisis management manual should be identified, and the principles of crisis management should be communicated to the crisis team. This was to be implemented across various functions of the crisis management team, thereby preparing the crisis management team for an emergency/crisis.
Solution
Following the analysis of the crisis management manual, the optimisation potentials were identified. In consultation with the client and in accordance with their crisis management manual, the training documents on the basics of crisis management and a practical exercise scenario were prepared.
The project focused on the development and subsequent implementation of a workshop in which the individual crisis team roles were presented and theoretical tools of crisis response were discussed. The understanding of the roles and the competences of the functions, as well as the use of tools were practiced and improved in the five phases of the workshop. The workshop wrapped up with an evaluation and feedback.
Subsequently the lessons learned were written up and sent to the crisis management team in the form of a handout by the 3-core team.
