Updating the emergency and crisis management system and following role-based exercises

Background

An industrial group would like its emergency and crisis management manual to be updated. After the revision, the main changes and innovations need to be presented and input from stakeholders should be gathered. Finally, the members of the emergency and crisis team will be trained in their specific roles.

Solution

The manual for the Emergency and Crisis Management of the industrial company was comprehensively updated and reviewed in accordance with the international standard ISO 22361 in collaboration with the 3-core.

All discrepancies were systematically summarised in 110 points in a review table. A new manual was created based on these findings. Finally, all significant amendments and innovations to the manual were presented and feedback was obtained from the managers of the crisis team.

Afterwards, the members of the emergency and crisis team were trained in their roles. Following the workshop, handouts for the roles were created and sent to the client.
