Protection requirement analysis and protection measures for a new construction project
Background
The client pursued the following objectives with the ‘Protection requirements analysis and protective measures’ project as part of the new construction project in the industrial area: Determination of protection requirements and recommendations for protection measures at the new site.
Solution
The project started with a kick-off meeting to coordinate and define the project objectives regarding the requirements (must, should, could, out of scope requirements).
The protection requirements of the new company location were then determined based on three analyses – the business impact analysis, the risk analysis and the analysis of the security situation. The analyses were based on normative requirements. After determining the need for protection, the risks identified were assessed and compared with protection targets.
Based on the above-mentioned protection needs analysis, recommendations for the protection measures for the new company location were drawn up. The protective measures comprised four categories: structural, technical, organisational and personnel. The project was completed once the final documents – the protection needs analysis and the recommendations for the protective measures – had been submitted.
