Security check for a public security institution

Background

A public security institution requested us to review its site security, and particularly the effectiveness of its security service. The aim of this project was to analyse compliance with security processes, identify potential weaknesses and, if necessary, recommend measures to improve security awareness and optimise processes.

Solution

The implementation began with the detailed definition of objectives and requirements for the physical test, which we defined together with the client to ensure that all critical areas and processes were considered. Next, we ran an open source analysis to gain a comprehensive understanding of the existing security processes and controls and identify potential weaknesses.

In the following phase, our team conducted access tests at selected weak points. These tests helped to verify the effectiveness of the existing security controls in practice and to gain insights into the resilience of the security processes. The findings were then documented in a detailed report, which included not only the test procedure and results, but also a structured analysis of the vulnerabilities and specific recommendations for optimising the security measures. Finally, we presented the results and recommendations to the institution’s management and were available to answer any additional questions.
