Security inspection of the sites of a regional supply provider with follow-up recommendations
Background
The 3-core GmbH was commissioned by a regional utility service provider to review the physical security of its sites. The goal was to assess the current security status of the sites, analyse differences in security levels and suggest specific measures to optimise security. Through this process, the suitability of the existing security measures could be assessed and improved in a targeted manner.
Solution
In order to systematically survey the security situation at all sites, a comprehensive questionnaire was developed in advance of the on-site visit and distributed to the responsible staff at the sites. The questionnaire was used to record structural, technical, personnel and organisational security measures and made it possible to clearly identify the current status of security measures at each location. Due to the varying levels of security at the 12 sites, the security experts from 3-core GmbH visited each property individually to identify individual weaknesses and opportunities for improvement.
Based on the information gathered during the on-site visits, a comparison was made between the current state and a recommended level of physical security. The site-specific optimisation measures were documented in a structured table and a detailed report, which was then later presented to the management. As a result, the client not only received a transparent overview of the security status of its properties, but also detailed recommendations for action to sustainably improve security standards.
