Cyber Crime Crisis Team Exercise
Background
The annual crisis team exercise was on the agenda for our customer. This time, the focus was to be on the current threat of cybercrime.
Solution
Firstly, we familiarised ourselves with the internal, relevant documents on emergency and crisis management as well as the relevant procedures and processes in normal operations. We considered how a potential attacker could and would proceed in order to create a realistic crisis scenario with several escalation levels and simultaneously challenge all functions in the crisis team.
We then moderated and carried out the exercise twice on site. In the follow-up phase, we worked through the lessons learned and created a feedback report with optimisation potential for the overall system.
